A Director oversees the entire artistic direction of a production and makes sure it remains on track with the overall theme of the concept.
Who would make a good Director?
A good Director is someone who is very personable, has a good eye for detail, knows how a story works, understands the larger picture, and has a strong storyboard background.
How do I become a Director?
When in the industry, the best path to becoming a director is through becoming a strong Storyboard Artist and gaining understanding of story. But in the meantime, start writing, directing and editing your own live action or animated shorts. Watch movies and listen to director commentaries to learn why directors made the choices that they made.
